"I drove,walked around,knocking on doors,passing out census forms,updating maps."

What do you like about working at US Census Bureau?

"It was a great experience. I learned the US can change a lot in 10 years. I got to drive around, speak with people, help them fill out their Census forms. Updating the maps were fun, though it seemed my friend and I were the only employees who knew what we were doing."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"There was no interview, just a training class. Use common sense, and know how to read a map."

What don't you like about working at US Census Bureau?

"I felt as if most of the people I worked with were uneducated, and had no idea what they were doing. Some couldn't read a map. Some didn't even take the time to change, and update the maps on this census or last."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep track, and check up on employees. Raise the bar on how to get hired."

"It paid well and it was very interesting work because I met many people at their place of residence.."

"This is a very fun job to do but is only offered every 10 years."

What don't you like about working at US Census Bureau?

"That it was a temporary assignment and it didn't last long enough.."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They should be better educated and trained so that they would be more competent for their job."
