"Not a good place to work and only work their if you are really desperate."

What do you like about working at CEI?

"They paid on time unlike other Indian run body shops. Having said that they bench people and reduce salary. The current trend is to fire H1b employees with no notice as soon as they come off projects.H1b Consultants are suppossed to pay them damages if they decide to voluntarily leave."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Best avoided and dont depend on them for your green card. I wish I had enquired before joining them. Also they are running other outfits too from the same address."

What don't you like about working at CEI?

"They bench people and reduce salary. The current trend is to fire H1b employees with no notice as soon as they come off projects.H1b Consultants are suppossed to pay them damages if they decide to voluntarily leave."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"These kind of businesses exist in the US because the American government allows it. I dont think they are contributing anything positive to the US. Most of the employees are H1B and they can be used and abused. Nobody will dare complain as they are entirely depended on the company for their Visa status."

"For the first 9 years it was a really great place to work, very fast paced, challenging projects and really good associates and managers."

"No suggestions in this area."

What don't you like about working at CEI?

"In the last year that I was employed by CEI it seemed that the management developed an advedrsarial relationship toward their employees and middle managers, it was not a healthy business atmosphere."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Develop a healthy friendly relationship with employees. Develop a family friendly atmosphere within the company, make the employees feel that they actually have value."

"The friendly atmosphere of the recruitment agency. Their concern about their employees was bar-none. The company I was placed with was an almost perfect match."

"Be honest, to the point, and ensure that the position is fit for you. In the interview process, ask the interviewer if they enjoy their job."

What don't you like about working at CEI?

"The benefits were moderate and could have been better. This particular job for FTE employees the compensation was greater ever for some of the developers. Job Security, I was on pins and needles all of the time. Career advancement there was none. Growth was none as well."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"As a project manager I would say a contingency plan for contract end should be developed. Considering the wage for W2 contractors, a bench program should be developed. Growth within the company should be training of some sort accompanied with certifications."

"Working for a small company provided a fast track for my career. Plenty of opportunities and 100% face time with all clients involved in my work. Management needs a boost as the company had become complacent. Missed opportunities, better salary, and a need for change were my reasons for leaving."

What don't you like about working at CEI?

"Management was nearsighted in respect to building the business; salaries were not comparable with other firms in the area; micromanagement ran rampant; management was unwilling to adjust for the betterment of the firm as a whole."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Become more open to change; be willing to spread out amongst the other clients for possible opportunities; be prepared to pitch for new business; allow managers to speak on behalf of the company; make salaries more competitive; less micromanaging."
