"I love the company and all that it entails. I liked the experience of having roommates."

"Be ready to work hard and take abuse from guests."

"I didn't like the lack of confidence in and respect for the employees from management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have a little faith in your people and you might be surprised."
What do you like about working at The Disney Store?
"I liked the products and the personal impact I had with guests - not all guests, but certain ones."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"They only hire cast members on a part-time basis and the pay is terrible - I started at $8.50 an hour. It is not a career choice unless you want to go to school and work your way up and do this on the side to gain knowledge about the company and time with the company to get your foot in the door to positions higher up. If you're looking for a way to pay rent and make ends meet, this is not it."
What don't you like about working at The Disney Store?
"One of the leads (member of management) is ego-centered. It has a negative impact on my attitude and work ethic when I work with her - very negative, very unfortunate. The pay is not enough."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Appreciate the lower level cast members more - they are the ones who have the hardest jobs."

"The customers and my coworkers were a delight to work with."

"Be willing to work all times of day. The park stays open till midnight and you can be there very late."

"The hours of operation were hard on my sleep schedule."

"Try to work with students and their school schedules harder."

"Just be yourself and you'll get hired at Disney."

"The pay wasn't enough - it's great for kids or students."

"I have no suggestions, as I think that the company runs as well as possible, considering its sheer size."

What do you like about working at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts?
"I enjoyed the camaraderie of all the cast members and the positive interaction with guests. If you are a quiet individual, it will change you and force you to stay alert and focused. At a moment's notice you might be required to act quickly in a situation."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be sure to ask questions about being able to advance in the company. I wouldn't recommend staying on the bottom for too long. If you are interviewing in person, wear good clothing. If you're doing a phone interview, ask good questions."
What don't you like about working at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts?
"When an issue arises between cast members and guests, usually the manager agrees with the guests to keep the peace. This can be very demeaning at times, because it might make one feel like the complaint was not justified."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My advice would be to better mediate between cast members and guests so that the integrity of cast members remains intact. If you must agree with a guest, then talk to the cast member about the situation so they feel less like they are being walked on or disagreed with. The customer is not always right."
