"Overall, a great team and cooperative environment. Compensation is a bit flat, training is nearly non-existent. Upward mobility opportunities are scarce, which is the main driver for my consideration of moving on. I entered Cartesian below my pay grade and vastly over-qualified for my position, with the intent that it was a foot in the door and I would move up quickly, once certain project parameters were met. Those parameters have been not only met but also exceeded, and yet I have seen no advancement. This despite prompting a conversation wherein I reminded the executive team of their stated intentions for me....which has gone nowhere. I have no complaints with the technical level staff, neither my co-workers nor my management. The issue seems to be at the VP level, and it is an old song; inability to properly value and incentivise the staff that you already have in house. I truly do not want to move on, but I refuse to stagnate. As an executive manager myself, I know that integrity and follow-thru are just as important as skill and experience. You cannot bait talented staff with promises you either cannot or will not follow thru with. That can only guarantee one certain outcome: constant attrition."
"I've worked for Cartesian for the past two years, and found the Boston based operation to be very skilled in regards to consulting analysis. The team consists of many talented individuals all looking to make an impact. Hard work can pay off with this company."
