"Quickly going downhill as a preferred physician employer. Multiple levels of unresponsive bureaucracy and out of touch management has become the norm."

"I have worked with Carolinas Healthcare System for 6 months on a research project. The project was for my Master's degree. I worked offsite, at my university's lab. All the equipment and tools were provided by the company's research institute. We frequently got together to discuss the progress of the project. Since I worked as a volunteer, I had no salary compensation. Overall, it was a good experience working with them on the project."

"This is a very traditional organization with very traditional views that make it difficult to truly change and innovate. The bureaucratic hurdles that you must navigate to get anything done are detrimental to actually accomplishing anything in a timely manner."
