"The customers that I worked with. Managing difficult situations. Coaching and developing associates."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Remember - As a salaried manager you work long hours each week with no overtime pay. The weeekly schedule changes frequently due to mandatory meetings and helping to cover frequent time off requests from other managers. If you do decide to go to work in the car business you should check out the other new/used car dealerships in your area the pay plan is better and the benefits are comparable."

What don't you like about working at CarMax?

"The ego and negative attitude from fellow managers and senior/regional leaders that do not live up to the original culture of the company. Long hours for low pay. Selling poorly reconditioned vehicles to unaware customers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be a little more humble, remember this is a used car dealership and your all just a job title and a paycheck. Keep your resume current the Carmax concept could become irrelevant soon and go out of business like it's parent company Circuit City did."
