"Fast paced environment. New challenges. Hourly personnel would work with managers willing to work with them not against them."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Have questions ready for them. Most of the persons you will interview with will not have questions for you."

What don't you like about working at Caraustar?

"Mandatory overtime for exempt salary including nights and weekends. Company often would not pay on terms normally 15 to 20 days past terms, which has a very negative impact with suppliers. Was hired as a Production Supervisor. Was given the rolls of Environmental Engineer, Process Engineer, placed in charge of the entire chemical program and promised a title change with additional compensation. After three years I left with the title Production Supervisor. Bonus program pays quarterly to hourly employees but annually for salary and normally not until the second quarter."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Terminate your Maintenance Manager and replace him with someone who will work with the company not against."

"Use this job as a stepping stone, don't let the good pay suck you into a job from which has little return on your investment of the years of your life of which you can never get back."

"Working conditions, very dangerous environment, long hours, swing shift, little management support or compassion, hI incedent rates."
