What do you like about working at CapTel?

"Flexible scheduling is nice, and being pretty much guaranteed a day off if you request off far enough in advance."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Start looking for a different job immediately. Stay too long and you'll be stuck there forever. I've seen it happen."

What don't you like about working at CapTel?

"This is a company founded on fostering apathy in its workforce. The fact of the matter is that nobody there is excited to be there. No one. We'd all rather be doing other things and not one person I've talked to actually cares about the job we're doing. Everyone is expendable on almost every level and despite that, the whole company is woefully understaffed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I'd stop treating the employees like second graders first. Micromanaging does nothing to help anyone and only leads to people getting in trouble for not following the rules when they thought they were and weren't informed that the rules changed. I'd do basic maintenance of the equipment and building regularly so that people weren't breaking themselves slowly on faulty keyboards/chairs/desks or having to sit all day under air vents caked with dust. I'd stop instituting policies designed to get people terminated for no real reason probably just so that they can get more federal funding. I'd also pay people a living wage. Yes, right now it's more than minimum, but not by much and is approximately $8 below industry standard."
