"Be sure to have a good understanding of the requirements. As an industry, newspaper and media companies have significantly reduced their workforces, and as a result their remaining employees are burdened with maintaining the products."

What don't you like about working at Capital Gazette?

"The industry is in a major state of flux, and the workplace is changing. The R&D type projects, with development and planning that I am used to are quickly going away. The culture of the workforce is slow to accept the necessary changes, which can make things very stressful."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Never lose sight of the customer, and the employee. Unfortunately it seems that those are often the last considerations."
