"I’ve been working as a practice medical receptionist for a while now. So many people think our job is easy, but it is the complete opposite. Behind those doors when there are no patients sitting outside in the waiting areas, the management of this company overall is absolutely terrible. We as the front desk people get humiliated and criticized by our own supervisors and even a selected few providers (not all but some) for how we do things. For example, there have been times when I had to get up to go use the restroom in the middle of my shift and apparently, that’s been a problem and doesn’t sit well with certain providers and my supervisor because according to them, I’ve been “ignoring patients who walk in through those doors and not acknowledging them by getting up, turning around, overall pretending not to see them”. At this point, the money isn’t even worth it working for a company that hires management teams that are only good at putting you down, giving you more stress and anxiety, and stepping all over you and your dignity."

"Upon my arrival, there was tremendous opportunity to improve and enhance the financial operations as well as to provide far more meaningful financial reporting to the management team. The vast majority of changes made were of my own innovation and suggestion."

"People are fair and friendly, and will provde ample opportunity for you to self yourself, particularly if you might consider yourself a stretch candidate for the position you are pursuing."

What don't you like about working at Cambridge Health Alliance?

"Not confident in their future direction, specifically in terms of how they are preparing for the nation's migration toward the development of Accountable Care Organizations."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The Physicians Organization and the Hospital Corporation currently have independent financial teams who collobarate well are but not fully integrated. This greatly limits the opportunity for effective meaningful reporting for the consolidated entity."

"The managers are nice and once you have the qualifications, you are almost guarantee of the job"

"There is no good compensation package for hard working employees"

"They should try to employ more work force to fill up the vacant positions"
