"Almost anyone can get the job, even people with no technical background, but if you want to up your chances, know your computer and network terminology if only for the interview. If you do not like the environment, do not mention looking for another job to anyone or you will be gone faster than static electricity."

"I don't like the forced assumption that all customers are unable to think for themselves, the lack of empathy towards employees, or that some employees sometimes don't do their job correctly, which causes your responsibilities to be exceeded at times. I also didn't like the fact that they hired and trained some people with zero technical background for phone support, but wouldn't train me on what I didn't know (which isn't much) in order to let me switch departments internally to become an installer because I had no formal experience (re: my resume)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I suggest they focus on the customer on a per-call basis to resolve their issue in a timely manner, cut the fluff out of conversations if it's not necessary to reduce call times and caller queues, and have some form of emotion for their employee situations."
