"Know about the job you are interviewing for and be sure you have the education, skills, and abilities required for the position."

What don't you like about working at Bureau of Land Management?

"There is a lack of training in a lot of the particulars regarding the more technical parts of the job and there is an inconsistency in the application of practices and procedures because of it, resulting in errors and failure to provide all the information needed to get the job done correctly and efficiently. There is also a lack of cooperation from the field offices when requests are made for information necessary to complete jobs."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have more employee evaluations and work reviews for quality control and to help the employee learn about their weak areas and how we could help them become stronger in their weak points. Provide training to better their capabilities and skills to produce quality work."

What do you like about working at Bureau of Land Management?

"I like my co-workers and that the management actually cared what ideas you had. they incorage you to come up with ideas and they also let you present it to the managers that count. Also the Director and Assocaite State director are very fair and dont mind praising you if you did a good job. They are wonderful to work for!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be open minded and dont just do what your job discription reqires. Go out side the box and you will be noticed and who knows you can move up faster especially if the Assiciate State Director likes your work ethic. You know if she noticed you then others in high positions have too."

What don't you like about working at Bureau of Land Management?

"I didnt like that it was only temp. I wish that they were in the bay area so I would beable to still work for them. I would have taken the job that they offered but I wanted to go back home to CA. Also the politics wernt all that great."
