What do you like about working at Brookfield Homes?

"The vice president and the general superintendent gave me full controll of the job and did not micro manage me because they knew that the job was running smothly they would come by and check up on me and we would have meetings on things that where coming up to install"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"In construction we have to preform interviewing is just the first part."

What don't you like about working at Brookfield Homes?

"A couple of the subcontractors where not preforming at all very frustrating but I had to finish the job with them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I you pick better subcontractors with proven track recordes it makes our job easyer and we can get the job done faster and with the best of quality you spend a little more up front but you save money in the long run lest customer service costs, better quality and quicker closings. You will save money on the principle of the loans that have to be taken out for the job site."

"The construction industry for me is something I enjoy being a part of the process of growth. At Brookfield, I was allowed to be the best I could possibly be and at the same time encouraged to learn and grow with the complany."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Obtain a degree in project management while working in the field gaining the experience hands on. Both hands on and schooling are necessary to make or be the best project manager in the construction/housing industry."

What don't you like about working at Brookfield Homes?

"Sometimes the lack of communication caused misunderstandings that would slow down progress. This lack of clear communicatioin was usually the root most other problems."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Some of the project managers could have had more experience in the field so they could have a better understanding of what the challenges were for those of us in the field. The same is true for us in the field, we needed more knowledge of what it takes to manage the project from the office. Role reversal would help in understanding the challenges each of had."
