"Brookdale is the worst job I have ever had in my life. I thought I was coming to a better job, I was wrong. Brookdale on Stonestreet in Louisville, KY is horrible. They can't keep employees. It's so bad the employees quit on the first day at work. The residents treat you like trash. They holler at you and treat you like something on the bottom of their feet. The supervisors want you to do everything. They want you to change the residents, give showers, work the dinner room and buss tables. You have to give out medicine. Which is illegal. What if something happens to them cause they have the wrong medicine in the container we are giving them. The residents kick, hit and cuss you out. I was told if they couldn't help themselves they couldn't be here. 90% of the people don't help the staff. We are understaffed and they don't care. Sometimes it's one person working the whole building and management will not help. If you like to be treated like a dog, then this is the place for you. It's stressful working here. It's hard getting out of the bed in the morning knowing I have to come and deal with these people. Management is stealing money."

"Find a higher paying non management served less stressful position."

"Pay under market rate. Management not truthful, demanding, self entititled. No standard supplies or procedures, equipment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lighten the work lode, change attitides, standardize procedures,eliminate confusion. Raise pay."
