What do you like about working at Broadcom?

"Good communication with scientists and engineers. Many very dedicated and hardworking."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you come from a strong SW background - make sure you understand. What they have now is like building a new house on a lot with an existing tear down. You're going to be getting dirty before doing any real building."

What don't you like about working at Broadcom?

"This company grew up designing great HW products. The new standards for wireless end up requiring more SW - a lot more. The senior management - many with great engineering backgrounds - simply do not have the training or experience to develop larger scale embedded systems. When Intel shows up with the Armada of competitive products built into their SOCs - it will all be over but the shouting."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire strong SW people and get out of the way."

"People do not speak English at this workplace. Management is disconnected and unprofessional. Plenty of bureaucracy."

What do you like about working at Broadcom?

"Salary + real stock grants (not options)."

"Only if you need $$ and benefits."

What don't you like about working at Broadcom?

"Management is failing and always is trying to find scapegoats to their own failure. Unable to establish real schedule and realistically estimate work scope."

"Resign."
