"I have worked at BSC for 10 + years. The Spencer, IN, facility is going thru a lot of changes and seems to be a little unstable right now, but as a whole the company has been a very good company to work for."

What do you like about working at Boston Scientific?

"The site has a great deal of opportunity and potential. Management is constantly pushing for improvement and although the rapid changes can require frequent adjustment, I appreciate the great strides toward bettering the overall standing of the facility."

"Be open to change and able to adapt to an ever changing environment and project strategy."

What don't you like about working at Boston Scientific?

"There are a lot of political games amongst the sites that can be a hindrance to overall project success."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I feel that management at my site is making steps in the right direction, however, I disagree with my direct manager's methods. I do not agree with letting politics play such a large role in project execution."

"Upper management out of touch, they separate themselves. Lack of real leadership."

"Get out on production floor, eat in cafeteria, talk with operators."

"The benefits are great and there is a very diverse work force. Medical device manufacturing seems stable and not as impacted by the economy as other industries. Intentions are in the right place. Product helps people."

"Be careful about the politics, things are not always as they seem. It's a good place to work but caution can be your friend."

What don't you like about working at Boston Scientific?

"Way too many politics, and people who aren't qualified get promoted over very qualified people. Who you know is valued more than what you know."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Company is very top heavy with way too many managers and directors and not enough doers. Need to weed out the redundancy and lean out the corporate management. Also reward more at the lower levels. Would also drive more toward a centered attitude and not be so conservative."
