"The people I worked with were always encouraging each other, teaming up to get things done, and striving to learn new things about our products and customers. It was a joy to be at work, doing what you loved with people you appreciated."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would have said just be yourself and share your passions. Now that the company is gone, I'd give that same advice to someone interviewing for a like minded company."

What don't you like about working at Borders?

"I didn't often get as many hours as I would have liked and I was in charge of cleaning the restrooms. I don't think I'd want to clean restrooms again!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have listened to the employees and General Managers of my stores more. Employees often have great ideas about how to boost morale, sales and participation in events. They are the most valuable resource a company has and I wish our CEO had taken the opportunity to consult them."
