Wearing a pair of sequined Converse sneakers, along with her ever-present smile, our fabulous CEO Heidi Golledge on Thursday received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for business services in the Orange County, Inland Empire and Las Vegas region.
"Many young girls dream of becoming an actress or ballerina. Since I realized that there are not many ballerinas wearing Converse sneakers, I dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur in technology,” Heidi said as she accepted the honor during a gala at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Calif.
The Ernst & Young award honors high-growth, innovative entrepreneurs.
Heidi co-founded CareerBliss in 2009 with the goal of helping workers find happiness at all stages of their careers by giving them resources, tools and insights they can’t find anywhere else.
A decade before that, she founded recruiting firm CyberCoders in Orange County, Calif. Since then, the House of CC has expanded to Los Angeles, Boston and New York and includes a growing family of more than 200 recruiters.
“The Ernst and Young award is truly a team award,” Heidi said. “The 250 men and women at CyberCoders and CareerBliss have spent over a decade building a culture that treats everyone like family and a business that places thousands of people in great new jobs each year.”
Regional Entrepreneur of the Year award winners will be considered for a national award.
