"Black Market units are destroying our Market and Bayer needs to put more pressure on these distributors."
"I started with Berlex Laboratories, which was then acquired by Bayer. The changes in management, combined with the opportunity to enter into the more lucrative field of capital equipment sales led me to leave this position in the fall of 2007."
What do you like about working at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals?
"I undertook a total of 4 weeks of sales training (in total) at Berlex Lab's corporate HQ in Wanye, NJ. The training was outstanding. My managers (all former Berlex employees) were supportive and played a direct role in my success."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know that Bayer does not treat all of its Business Units equally, especially depending on what Unit you are in (e.g., Women's Health, Oncology, Therapeutics, etc.)"
What don't you like about working at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals?
"The acquisition of Berlex Labs by Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals in early 2007 was not as smooth as we were promised. There were changes made to the corporate structure, which translated into poor field sales support."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The company needs to improve on field sales support (e.g., marketing materials, off-label clinical inquiries and response time and better communication regarding best practices)."
