I would take more interest in my employees. Seek out their strengths and weaknesses and help foster the strengths and provide avenues and incentives to improve upon weakness. I would foster progressive and innovative thoughts, and less on tradition. I would allow for, and actively support, job growth opportunities. I would make sure my employees are kept comfortable in their cubicle environments, as opposed to denying tools recommended by ergonomic assessments. I would promote breaks, especially for those that attend or sit for prolonged periods of time. I would talk to my employees, and welcome suggestions. I would provide leadership training to all QUALIFIED managers to ensure they understand how to lead, mentor, train, and foster a positive team environment.
Find ways of using employees' strengths, skills, experience, education, and input to improve morale and foster a more positive work environment. I'd also encourage continuing education among the team members because there is always something new to learn, especially for managers and leads who are often put in their positions because of seniority rather than experience and people skills.
