"Banner Health is a great company where management makes each individual feel noticed and appreciated in their work."
"Good company to have on your resume."
"The management at Banner Health is supported to continue to reward staff for expensive presents and monetary kickbacks. The Chief Nursing Officer promoted staff based on the gifts she received. When I brought supporting information forward, I was disciplined. Dont work here unless you are willing to give money, parties and gold to your boss (Banner has no policy against this)."
"Banner is an absolute HORRIBLE company to work for...your just a number..no support...all about MONEY...horrible care...do better..go work for scotrdale or dignity where they appreciate you..gave them 10 years..WHAT A WASTE.. they don't care about employees...pay is horrible. Benefits WAY too expensive...500 plus a month!!! RUN AWAY..."
"Banner has many really caring employees that dedicate themselves to overcoming challenges every day so that patients can receive the best care, but Banner Health as a company does not invest in the tools and resources that will allow employees to be successful. Facilities has not maintained building infrastructure at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix (a.k.a. Good Sam) in many years leading to health hazards and risks to both employees and patients. There are serious sewage and piping issues that contaminate the work and patient environment every day. Important technologies and equipment are allowed to go into disrepair with no maintenance or upgrades. The IV pumps have been used on patients with no guard rails for many years and pose a serious safety risk. Leadership accountability for poor behavior and not meeting minimum expectations of professionalism and ethics at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is low. A leader made threatening remarks about a technician on two separate occasions (I will "grab him by the neck and throw him against the wall" and "I will rip his throat out"). This was reported to Human Resources and nothing was done about it - he was actually promoted shortly thereafter. I have never encountered in my career such a high level of 'heavy' politics and lack of ethics in a work environment. Banner has a lot of work to do to improve their compliance and ethics in many areas of employee relations and patient care. Banner Pharmacy Services, Compliance and Ethics, and Human Resources should follow policies and procedures for professional behavior with leadership. It is not acceptable to 'sweep behaviors under the rug" and pretend like they never happened. Assess the facts objectively without bias and manipulation of the truth and move towards being a fair and balanced organization that focuses on delivery of excellent patient care and less on passive-aggressive behaviors that are harmful."
"I was harassed, bullied, and retaliated against by my coworkers and my supervisor. I followed the chain of command and even went to HR on numerous accounts in tears only to be told someone would get in touch with me. That was in July, 2017. To this day after multiple calls and emails from myself to HR I have still not been contacted from HR and employee relations. In my opinion Banner does not back their employees or care about the way their employees are treated. I am extremely disappointed and I hope other employees do not have to go through what I have."
"Work-life balance is terrible, work on average 50 hours a week on a relatively low salary for the type of job / work I do due to bad HR policies that don't allow pay increase. 4 yr college degree plus additional certifications... Have a terrible manager that HR won't do anything about until everyone starts quitting. Benefits used to be a huge pro, that is no longer the case."
"I have worked for Banner Health for over 14 years. In this time it has been extremely different to advance in my career. If you are looking to move up the career ladder Banner Health is not the place for that."
"Great place to volunteer my time while currently looking for permanent employment."
"Hard to get the foot in the door. There is a great deal of "office inbreeding" here. They seriously need new blood and some leaders in the IT realm."
