"I've worked for Bank of America for most of my working life. They have great benefits but there is opportunity in their compensation. Especially for those who are dedicated employees and go out of their way to get the job done and make recommendations for process improvements. Also seeing some of the senior leadership team not willing to confront other senior leadership on their blindness to top talent that reports to them."

"Listen to the over qualified little guy."

What do you like about working at Bank of America?

"I like working on multiple projects and managing a team at the same time. I liked learning about Six Sigma as well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Unfortunately, I was not a part of the Bank of America click or the Fleet Bank click and my experience is if you were not a part of either click then you probably don't want to work there. If you do work here be quiet, don't complain, don't talk to anyone, only contribute in meetings, and stay to yourself."

What don't you like about working at Bank of America?

"I don't like the whole playing favorites thing. I didn't like the fact that qualified hardworking people did not get promotions because of playing favorites, clicks, and office politics. I did not like the fact that I was overqualified for my position and could not post or move into another role at the bank because internal recruiters wouldn't even respond to my applications. I do not like the fact that based on K-Performer I was the top manager in my site and I was laid off. How does this decision motivate those in lower positions in this dept? How does the worst manager in this site get re-hired in a lower position? The thing that I don't like the most is the fact that I never gave my manager a bad survey. If I didn't like something he did I kept it to myself and just didn't take the survey. There were other managers that did not like what he was doing and gave bad surveys and I'm pretty sure he thought those bad surveys were from me."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop the fear tactics. Promote people based on performance and merit. Do not spread rumors about your peers or direct reports. Keep confidential proprietary information private. When you have someone that wants to post out of the dept, help them to do so. If you have direct report that does not like another direct report, help to resolve the issue, do not instigate or act like it does not exist."
