"I am not one to shy away from a long day but the 12 to 14 hours a day plus one full weekend day did not leave much time for any home life. I would like to have some balance there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Because of the financial needs of Bally, I would suggest focus on our core product and work on building new partnerships with manufacturers for new equipment or partner with local hospitals for tax breaks and re-invest this money in the clubs."

"They gave me an opportunity to prove myself as a manager when I was very young, and had no previous managerial experience."

"There was always a push to sell products that clients did not need, which felt wrong considering I was in charge of personal training."

"Listen more to the suggestions from the clubs. When policy is made at the corporate level it is nice, but it is just theory. Make policies based on actual experience from the club level up, not from the top down."
