Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Fuel cell industry does not have much of a future. Production is expensive because of very high raw material costs, lots of labour intensive operations, frequent product changes, frequent changes to manufacturing changes. No regular customers.Fuel cells cannot compete against alternative existing energy storage technology which has already overtaken it."
What don't you like about working at Ballard Power Systems?
"Management structure is poor eg. to many managers and not enough engineersManagers are not qualified eg. they have none to little industrial experience relying on hiring Senior Engineers to make up for their lack of experience or knowledge."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Reduce number of manager to form a flat structure. Hire more experienced hands on engineers. Company needs to concentrate on reducing costs by reducing product changes and R&D"
