"BabyCenter is a wonderful place yet with limited growth opportunities in some areas."
"BC is a small, intense company with dedicated and fun people."
What do you like about working at BabyCenter?
"The people are great. I can honestly say that there's no one there that I dislike personally. It's owned by J&J, so it has big-copmany stability and benefits with small-company atmosphere. Employees are not micromanaged, and they have a lot of leeway in getting their job done. We do a lot with a very small staff and that give everyone a chance to shine."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Everyone at BC needs to be self-starters and self-motivated. Broad thinkers are welcome. A students only. Culture of results, not blame and CYA."
What don't you like about working at BabyCenter?
"Too many stakeholders involved in product development for the US sites, with no clear owner of final responsibility. So we go around and around on what to build and how, with reversals in directions coming often."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put someone in charge of product development and back them fully rather than second guess them all the time."
"Baby Center was a good place for me to work while I was in college as they were flexible with my school schedule."
