"I have been working for Avectra for about eight years now. There is not much in the way of training programs for new staff and for management. You are expected to hit deadlines often with little help. Staff is often not rewarded for hard work, and benefits do not match to company size. Raises are often small and are not given often."

"There are a few people I like working with who have shown commitment, intelligence, and know the business and direction it should go in."

"Be clear and get everything in writing. Ask about structure, plan, and career path during the interview"

"There is no plan, no structure, no job descriptions, no titles, no career path."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"First and Foremost I would have a plan and communicate it. The direction of the company changes based on which way the wind is blowing at a particular moment. Foster a cross departmental collaborative environment. Back the employees and give them a clear career path rather than constantly reshuffle people among departments."

What do you like about working at Avectra?

"The people on my team are excellent. There are a few on other teams who understand it doesn't have to be like it is at Avectra. Not many, but a few."

"Don't. Unless this is your to get me a paycheck while I wait for my real job interview."

What don't you like about working at Avectra?

"Managers don't support you. They've never heard the words encouragement, motivation, empowerment, and least of all, respect. Blame is the name of the game at this company. The job is incredibly difficult due to lack of documentation, you don't receive the tools you need to do the job, and you're attacked by the people who are supposed to be supporting you."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"You need to get rid of the nepotism at this company. Despite what you probably think, it is affecting your teams. Find managers that truly understand that teamwork, encouragement, and motivating employees works so much better than punative measures, incessant criticism, and acting as if all your employees are slackers who need to be treated like naughty children and spanked into submission. This company is really middle-ages in how they treat their employees."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are willing to commit yourself 110% go for it, but if you want a life outside of the company, if will cause conflict with upper management."

What don't you like about working at Avectra?

"Upper Management required too much of a commitment and if you didn't make it, you are let go."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"A normal employee cannot do 80 hours of work in a 40 hour work week. Be realistic on your expectations."
