"I loved working with voice and data technology at the telecom industry leader. The pay was exceptional and so were my co-workers!"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Learn everything you can about voice and data equipment and technologies, so that when they lay you off, you'll be well-positioned to join their competitor!"
What don't you like about working at Avaya?
"I didn't care for the fact that they also laid me off. Management was remote out of Cleveland, even though our office was in northwest Ohio (Maumee). Outsourcing also took place, resulting in a need for fewer techs in the 419 Area Code. Hence, because of my low seniority, I was laid off."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put people before profits, and the profits will come! Having a well-trained, technically experienced workforce in place is hard to come by, or replace, for that matter! Customers want people who know what they are doing, who they trust and are familiar with. After all, this is what keeps them doing business with us!"
