"The work environment at athenahelath was very stimulating and inspiring. Despite not feeling as though I was in the right position at all times, I wanted to work hard because I felt very included."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be sure to insist on a clear cut job description. Many of my coworkers and I were somewhat confused in our roles because we thought we were being hired for one reason, but then were used for very different reasons. This isn't a bad thing, I definitely got a very unique experience, but I don't think I was ready for it at this point in my life."
What don't you like about working at athenahealth?
"I wanted a little bit more leeway for creativity; I felt as though my ideas were not always heard despite rigorous preparation to present them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would have liked a little less management. I had a couple of bosses that I reported to and not everyone wanted the same thing. As a recent college graduate, I was trying to appease to everyone which became frustrating."
"Athena is a wonderful employer and growing at a very rapid speed, which keeps PMs extremely busy. They are requiring all remote employees to relocate to the Boston area however in the next few months."

"My passion is watching applications streamline hospital workflow, which athena does very well in two capacities, revenue cycle and electronic health records."
