"This is difficult for me to evaluate. My position was as a consulting engineer at contract rates. I was probably paid well, but, being my first position in the biomedical instrumentation environment, I can't be certain."

"I was interviewing for a Senior InfoSec role for ATCC, and incredibly interested in the position. I was receiving incredible feedback throughout the process and finally had the chance to meet with the CITO in a 4th or 5th interview. The interview with the CITO was amazing, he gave incredible feedback and then followed with a verbal offer.
Then they ghosted me after giving me a verbal offer. I had to hound them on email to even get an explanation and I was told that my salary requirements were too high and that they went with another candidate. The hiring manager, Jim Miller asked me my salary requirements early on in the interview process and verbally acknowledged that "I know what the salary range is for the job, and that's not a problem."
The tech side of ATCC is dishonest and untrustworthy in my honest opinion after going through this experience. I can't imagine the principles held by the rest of the company. I would steer clear from seeking their employment or even doing business with them after what I experienced.
I've never in my life received a verbal offer from a CITO and had no follow up afterwards.. unreal."

"Because ATCC claims non profit status, it is a 100 million dollar grossing company, they pay less (much less) than the industry standard. In this same position at a biotechnology/life science company in Maryland I would be making about $8,000 more a year on average. ATCC just happens to be one of the few science companies in Virginia."
