"The pay was really poor, but I didn't expect any more as a Teaching Assistant."

"Giving the Teaching Assistants greater access to the future lessons would have allowed us to direct the current discussions in a more productive way."

It's a pretty simple and straightforward job, and as long as you know what you're teaching and do your best to convey it happily and confidently, they'll be happy with your performance.
