"I loved the ability to work at the computer being able to manage bills, enrollments and everything else that came with my job, but still having enough free time to go into classrooms and interact with the children.I wouldn't say hate, but I was sometimes disappointed in the way things were done at the school, however it was not my decision to make those changes, but it was my decision to support my school and its director/owner."
"I love to work with people, but not enough income to support myself. I hate to work in this company with lowest income. Another way that I hate is not using my knowledge of electronic engineering technology and programming languages."

"The short duration of the employment, being a summer camp it is only open for 10 weeks each year."

"I have no suggestions for management at this time, they did a good job."

"I enjoy the rewarding atmosphere. The children that I work with are so loving and appreciative."

"Realize that you are doing this job for the kids. This is not a job that will make you rich and the kids know who do it for them and who are just there to collect a paycheck."
What don't you like about working at YMCA?
"I wish it was more money and possibly more hours. Hopefully a full time position."

"Spend more time at the other sites and see how these other adults are interacting with the children."

"Senior and middle management operate under a corporate and CYA approach different from advertised company philosophy."

"Mixed message makes for a stressful work environment & high turnover rates for employees. Recognize shortcomings at the senior management level to improve overall function and staff retention."

"No support from management. They dont use prek funds properly."

"I enjoy the ability to try new ideas and ways of doing things. There is also a lot of support for what you are doing."

"Know your audience. Be knowledgeable about who you will be interviewing with and what they will want to know from you based on your potential touch points. Know the students and the populations you will be serving, do your research! We are no ordinary school!"

"The university is fairly segmented. Sometimes it is a challenge to bridge across departments and schools to get a consensus."

"I would integrate career into the curriculum and culture. Ultimately students want a career and that should be reflected in all years."

"There is a wide gap (in culture, pay, and responsibilities) between the management and the staff."

"I would challenge up and support down, be open to new ideas, and be more transparent about management practices."

"There was not room for growth as I had reached my peak position. It was also a 100% travel position and I was looking for a home base."
