In addition to these basic skills, assistant branch managers should have leadership and managerial skills, and be prepared to deal with employee relations, customer complaint resolution, and any unexpected issues that may arise.
Education: While an assistant branch manager position may not require a bachelor's degree, an associate's degree in management or personal finance may be encouraged at many banks. Many assistant branch managers will start off as bank tellers, a position that typically does not require a college education.
Career Path: Assistant bank managers may look forward to a bright future in the banking industry. There will be opportunities to advance to branch manager, and managers may go on to enjoy upper-level positions within the bank.
