"I would never recommend Ascension to anyone they are the worst insurance you could ever have. The cost, hidden fees and hoops you have to jump through just to reserve a test are horrendous. Also none of the employees are on the same page. You wait an hour for them to answer the phone, just to get a different response everytime you call. Then when you get to the doctor's they are clueless, and just push you out the door. Please please take my advice, and many others don't pick Ascension for your health insurance. You'll be doing yourself a favor."
"Ascension Health is a decent company to work at. They don't squeeze their employees too hard, and they are very compliant with industry best practices, which often look out for the best interests of the staff and their patients."
"I was employed at Lourdes hospital for 3 years as a podiatry resident. My experience there was overall positive. It is a great institution for medical education."
"I have worked for this company 9 years. The pay is low. And short staffed a lot. Workers are not appreciated. The big CEO gets millions in bonuses. But we get no raises for years. We can barely get by. This company is not really not-for-profit. They do not have Christian values. Managers get by with a lot, unfairness a lot, CEO is getting overpaid. This company cares about profit. We are just a number. No one listens to us. Run, don't work here. A lot of hard working, underpaid, underappreciated coworkers."
"Great co-workers. Unfortunately, being part of such a large system you are just a number. Numerous legal papers for taxes, etc., have been lost and have needed to be resubmitted. In addition, when calling HR you get routed through a call center, and a specialist has 5 business days to call you back. No one is able to make a decision or take care of problems without calling a specialist. A lot of wasted health care dollars run rampant in this company. Additionally, there are a lot of standards brought forth by the AMA and AACN that are neglected and never put into practice."
"Perfect Internship for me, with great learning in internal audit and supply chain management."
"some great people, but not all were great"
