"Much was promised, little delivered."

What do you like about working at The Art Institutes?

"The students and faculty are amazing, creative, bright, and talented."

What don't you like about working at The Art Institutes?

"Severe homophobia in Student Services staff. Duplicitous behavior by senior and executive management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Interesting people to work with, pay could be better."

What do you like about working at The Art Institutes?

"I loved the students, they were very interesting people. I liked working with artists and creative people, both faculty and students."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It is a good experience part time, I don't know if I would want to be in this environment full time. I have applied for part time positions since leaving and have not been asked for an interview. I guess when you are gone you are really gone."

What don't you like about working at The Art Institutes?

"They can be a bit disrespectful of the students. I think that most of the students do work hard and want to be successful. The administration seemed to focus only on the more challenging, less motivated students. The goal seemed to be to control, rather than motivate the less mature students to succeed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would appreciate a bit more respect. I approached the Registrar with a question, and she said, abruptly, What do you want! The IT director screamed at people who brought coffee into the computer rooms. There are more civilized ways of communicating."
