AristaMD Employee

"The culture was great, though more built from the ground teams up. The organization has failed to preserve the culture in the attempts to rapidly scale. There is a lot of talk of a great culture and transparency and all of that, but the actions speak volumes to the contrary. There is the typical lack of voice for the employees and their interest in the board level. There is the standard inequitable and classist policies that favor and prioritize the upper management in the way you expect from much larger organizations. The organization has consistently overworked and underpaid the busiest "boots on the ground employees". There has been a recent mass exodus of employees between those losing confidence and leaving the organization of their own volition as well as those having their positions eliminated. Those who were eliminated were essential members of teams that were meeting performance expectations per the communications of the organization, yet eliminated regardless. The C suite might be the largest department outside of the outsourced development teams. Those who thrive are "yes men/women" who have to be cringe-inducingly obsequious and fake with any meeting posing the opportunity being filled with opportunities to brown nose on the greatness of the dear leaders. The reality is there is a core product that is solid, but less reliably supported all the time. The product while critically necessary is challenging to generate consistent reliable ROI. Leadership knows most of the challenges that are faced, but has no real answers to address them. There is a concerning lack of vision communicated, and a consistent tendency to rely on buzz words rather than demonstrate anything of substance. If this sounds appealing to you, go for it. My recommendation would be go with a larger company where the unfortunate corporate gilt at least offers higher pay and a more reliable long term presence. It's a shame they couldn't sustain what they once had going."
