In 2010, Amphenol generated revenue in excess of $3.554 billion. Amphenol has acquired a number of companies; including SEFEE, Teradyne Connection Systems and Jaybeam Wireless.

Amphenol currently operates from their headquarters in Wallingford, Connecticut and maintains offices in different financial markets around the globe. Amphenol aims to design, develop and market high quality electrical, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable and interconnection systems. The company's mainstream products are manufactured for communication and information processing systems, industrial, aerospace and military electronics, medical, automotive and transportation systems. One of the largest Amphenol divisions is the Amphenol Aerospace division that developed the D38999 cylindrical connector.
