"Amerisafe promised the world and never delivered anything. Deliberate liars for their own personal short term gain. Lazy, unappreciative, and management will rarely, if ever, travel north of the Mason Dixon Line. Grudge filled and greedy. Low pay, don't back up their talk of bonuses. During our annual meeting of Safety Administrators we were mandated to increase our productivity and take a pay freeze because all the great technology in the world was making our job "too easy". The pay is so low and the promotions so few, their employees will stab anybody in the back for a raise (all while telling you "they have your back"). All in all, high turnover, low pay, expect the world and give nothing in return."

"Study up on the company and always plan to kiss your supervisors behind! Most are superficial and enjoy being told how special they are."

What don't you like about working at Amerisafe?

"Work environment, low wages unless you're at the top, HR involved in petty concerns"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Watch who you put in a leadership position. In the last 5-7 years they have brought in people from outside the company. Most are no longer there and produced less than stellar results. They should focus on promoting their existing employees that train the people they bring in to be their supervisors. They would have better results."

"It is a good company to work for, you will receive excellent work experience."

What don't you like about working at Amerisafe?

"Smaller company so little room for advancement. Also, DeRidder is a smaller town with very little to do after work."

"Continue your current business model which includes conservative, steady, profitable growth."

"My experience was in the IT department. Hopefully you will have a better experience with this company in another area."

"Low pay, little chance for advancement in IT, office politics, dominant employees who knew someone to get hired."

"This place needs some fresh meat. The management is tired, the executives enjoy their positions a bit too much and the employees are average at best."
