"peer workers were nice to work with. management and above were, and from what I hear from current employees, still are an absolute mess. management styles similiar to chickens with their heads cut off."

"only take the job if you ansolutely need it. if you do take the job then do yourself a favor and continue looking on the side. your happiness will not be found with this employer."

What don't you like about working at AmeriCredit?

"the hours and scheduling of hours are a joke. you get almost no notice of when your off days will be and overtime is expected to the tune of 12 hour day normalcy. not to mention the management direction and guidance....or complete lack thereof."

"lol. fire yourselves and start fresh."

"Being a marketing rep I was able to work from my home and had the liberty to come and go."

"It is tough out there to get a job. Don't give up. I have been looking for a year and a half!"

"Had many problems with their software program. I got frustrated and hired my own tech to fix my software issues on company laptop. Tech fixed problem but I crossed the line and got let go."

"Keep aggressive and on top!"

"I liked the company and what it seemed to stand for when I started there. It seemed the economy took a toll on the company and how much they were able to back their employees up (i.e. training, one-on-one's, etc) as time went on and the economy worsened."

What don't you like about working at AmeriCredit?

"I did not like the way the company seemed to put out fires. It did not seem to have any systems in place for preventative measures, to avoid the small crises that could and would occur. Because of this, the company seemed very fickle in it's policies - it would send out a memo one week, and then another the following week that was almost completely contradictory. All of this was due to poor planning and/or addressing an issue that had just occurred that caused problems (the putting out fires)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to their representatives, the people who work with the systems and their customers all day, everyday. The best suggestions usually come from those who are dealing with the day-to-day processes and not always from management, who can sometimes only see from an overall perspective. The employees can see many things from many angles, being neck deep in the work each day."
