"American Water is a very sedate and relaxed place to work. The corporate culture is down-to-earth and the company is fairly flat. There has some turmoil over the past few years about how much the company would embrace technology but that has resolved itself with the choice of a new CEO, who is a back to basics type. Definitely not a place that values disruptive innovation, but rather one that is focused on their core business and steady performance."
"good place to get your experience in the water and wastewater environment. a lot of professional support and ability to sharpen your skill sets."
"I have worked for American Water for 9 years. I think it is a great company."
"I've worked for American Water for five years now. There is currently a lot of restructuring going on and I do not feel that it is a stable environment. There are a lot of good people that work here and I enjoy working with them, but I do not feel there is any future growth for me at this company."
"Ever since the SAP roll out for American Water the ability to help the customers in a timely fashion has gone away. When a bug is found and reported management says Don't you think somebody above us is paid to find and fix these This is part of our process."
"American Water Enterprises is an excellent company to be a part of. They really appreciate their employees and go the extra mile to show and share their appreciation. I would continue to work with American Water if there was more work to do. I would recommend American Water to my friends and family."
