"Fairly easy to work outside life around, and have some freedom while working outside that you would not have in an office position."

"If you can tolerate working in ANY weather conditions and are looking for a break from customer service, it can be a fun job. If you cannot handle wintery conditions, I recommend looking elsewhere for employment."

What don't you like about working at American Airlines?

"Pay is extremely low in comparison with other airline ramp positions, safety on ramp is not wonderful, nor is the safety of airport. No ramp or maintenance employees are scanned before touching aircraft."

"Better safety precautions, better screening prior to hiring candidates."

"There is too much bureaucratic BS going on. The good managers are stifled while the bad ones are promoted. If you have conflict of ideas with one upper manager your career is pretty much over. There is an absurd amount of favoritism."

"Keep concerned about the operation and the people, don't have lower managers do upper managers' dirty work. Maybe more time should be spent in the operation observing, not skirt chasing."
