"This company needed to hire a Sales Manager who is not competing for sales with the Agents they are training to sell insurance. Also, issues from an employee it took eight months to train (because she had no prior insurance experience)prompted the sales manager to alter the time of training from three months with no quota to one month with increasing quotas of intervals of $10,000 in premium, to $20,000, to $30,000. If a new sales rep didn't make the quota, they didn't receive any commission for what they had actually sold that month."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Create a formal training program for new sales representatives if the company continues to hire non-experienced agents, and stick to the guidelines already in place."
