"After achieving my personal goals and completing my BS in technology there is little room to use my new knowledge. The opportunities for internships and future career move into the technology field were relocated out of state after Southwest Airlines acquired us."

"In a changing environment such as we now find ourselves, frequent honest communication is paramount."

"This company is very fast paced and able to maneuver to meet a changing market. This company is looking for innovative ideas and approaches to problems. Be willing and able to think outside the box."

What don't you like about working at Airtran Airways?

"I enjoy a fast paced environment with challenges, but at times it could be overwhelming. Also the company has grown considerably and has lost its family feel."

"Try to find ways to stay connected with the workforce and rebuild the family feeling."

"AirTran likes to stay on the bleeding edge of technology which is a great learning experience for the employees in Information Technology. It also has a good benefits."

What don't you like about working at Airtran Airways?

"The procedures of the IT department can be very unorganized at times."

"They need to slow down the pace of newer incoming projects and ensure that older or current projects get the attention they need."

"They openly state that they are a low-cost airline, paying Low-cost wages. This resuts in a low-skilled & unprofessional staff ...but the free flight benefits are GREAT!!!"

"Free flights to ANYWHERE. Different beaches with friends every weekend. Additionally, almost free cruises, hotels and rentals."

"Nope. Just go. Chances are you'll be the best they've seen in a long time."

What don't you like about working at Airtran Airways?

"Working with people who are generally low-skilled, unprofessional, uneducated and unethical (a sad result of a bad location + low wages). There are some great ones, but only a few."
