1.2I do believe that Aimbridge is trying, , it seems a lot messy. I'm not sure if this is due to the pandemia or if it's always been this way,
The first day I started working .. We didn't have a manager the GN left... they hired a new GN... It was a disaster, nobody knew how to do their job, they hired another manager. super confused to see how it was possible for us to work without uniforms. All the employees did what they wanted, We didn't have a leader.. Many employees drinking during work. No one told them anything.
Nobody trained us they gave us the job but nobody explained anything to us..
terrible organization.
Absolutely terrible place to work, no one stays for even a year.
it wasn’t for the manager we would have better employee retention..
it would be an amazing place without the Manager. Not to mention never helps out in the restaurant or bar area. I'd you ask her she becomes very agitated and will not take any responsibility for any mistakes and blames others for them.
Terrible training, forget about actually knowing what to do in an emergency, and if you do the wrong thing at any point in time, you’re treated like an idiot who should have known better.
There is a SEVERE lack of communication not only between GN with HR management and employees.
This company DOES NOT CARE. They promise you the moon but they will never deliver. The pay is bad compared to all other companies. They will never offer training because they are so understaffed. You will be doing the jobs of 5 people and never get a thank you or good job.
Schedules do not come out more than about 3 days before the start of the schedule (on average. Sometimes we get one like a week before but RARELY) it’s a pain and a half to get anything done there. They don’t want to listen to what you have to say or take your suggestions into consideration.
4.8I have only worked for Aimbridge Hospitality for a year, but I love this company! One of the best companies I have ever worked for. Lots of training, no micromanaging, great managers. The only reason I am looking for other job opportunities is that the property I work at is for sale and Aimbridge might no longer be the Hospitality company the new owners use. It is also unclear if the new company would keep all managers depending on the structure. Since I am not relocatable there are not many options for me at the moment with Aimbridge, but I am keeping my options open, staying positive, and looking for some great opportunities.
4.7I have been in the hospitality industry since 1977. I grew up the oldest of 5 kids in a small town in SE Wisconsin. I paid my way through college and started my hotel career with Hyatt Hotels as a Corporate Management Trainee. I've been married for nearly 30 years and have 3 wonderful kids. My first GM position was in 1999 at the Wyndham Garden Detroit Metro Airport. I have completed 4 hotel renovations of various sizes. I am organized, driven, and very dependable. I have strong communication skills and believe in team development. I would be an excellent leader for your company.
