"The senior management needs to be open to new ideas of how to make changes."

"They need to be more open to new ideas and have a work / life balance for their staff. The hours are crazy worse than Public Accounting."

"The agent's contract does not encourage hard work for the compensation potential."

"Attract and retain good employees by offering a better incentive package."

"I was hired at AIG for a short project. I wanted to see if this profession would fit me, but in the end, it was not something I wanted to do."

"I liked the fact that it was at the time, a Fortune 500 company. An international company with an abundant amount of employees. I also liked the corporate environment."

"I would advise them to research the position that they are applying for as well as the company before they fully commit to the position that they desire."

"I didn't like their techniques as far as training new associates. It seemed unorganized and at times, unhelpful."

"I would suggest better strategical methods with training, and also maintaining efficient ways to get the job done faster."

"I liked nothing about working at AIG SunAmerica Financial Services."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Forget about it. You can do better. The recent AIG troubles confirm my previous statement about how little the parent company values its employees. Unless you are an actual AIG corporate office employee, you are not appreciated and the menial raises (if you're fortunate to get one) indicate how valued you are."

What don't you like about working at AIG?

"I didn't like anything about working for AIG SunAmerica Financial Services. The petty salary is not significant enough to deal with the bureaucracy that AIG brought to the organization. Although the pay wasn't that great when SunAmerica was owned by Mr. Eli Broad, Mr. Broad made sure that the employees were taken care of and appreciated. The organization was ran much better before the AIG merger."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"No comment. SunAmerica management is under the dictatorship of AIG corporate."

"Hire people you trust and let them do their work. Most sales reps do not want to or like being micro-managed."

"Nice people."

"Nothing."

"The economy is bad and hard to keep people employed, it is very easy to cut people, look at other options first."

"Do not try to collect all possible bonuses and increases."
