"During the time I was there there was a lot of down-sizing and as I was looking for promotional opportunities, they were being given to displaced employees."

"I liked HP/Agilent for the interaction with the many groups that were involved in manufacturing, shipping and reporting sales of a product/product line."

"Make sure you have a college degree, some experience, and are willing to stay with the company no longer than 10 years."

What don't you like about working at Agilent Technologies?

"There was little real assessment of skill sets to determine who was to be 'downsized' during a very hard economic time. This downsizing was hardest for those of us who had over 20 years of service, but were not old enough to retire; Nor could we find a job similar in both challenges OR compensation to compare."

"Hindsight does nothing but cause hard feelings and disappointment in a company that was once a great place to work."

"If you can stand the politics and the low regard for humanity, you can really do some high tech work there and get paid well for it."

"Be competent, be presentable, be honest, ask questions. For the most part, the people doing the hiring are trying to do the right thing. You will be judged on what you know and how you handle yourself under the pressure of an interview."
