"It is a large R&D company whose main client is the US Air Force. It is a quasi-government entity,(thus the ".org" extension) but it is run as a private company. It has many, many organizational protocols, that are somewhat overwhelming to learn the first six months on the job, but once learned and experienced, it was fine. My particular group within the Aerospace Corp, Facilities Design and Construction, was a great team of hard-working staff that worked very well as a team. Most personalities got along well. As with any large organization, there are internal "politics" to maneuver. But probably no different than any large organization. I enjoyed my 5 years at TAC, as an agency contract worker."

Most folks working at Aerospace have already retired from the military or a defense contractor, so the average age of the employees is quite a bit older. This is a great company to work for and I highly recommend it if you are interested in space systems, govt. oversight, and program management."

"Depends on the department, but in general having a graduate degree is strongly valued."

"There is very little to none upward mobility. The promotions are asserted mostly on seniority not performance."

"I believe the pay must be more competitive, in order to retain the younger employees."

"The culture is very political. People are not chosen to move up by quality of work...it's about who likes you or not"

"Implement more quantifiable measurements. Remove the subjective indicators. Focus more on continuous improvement rather than status quo"

"The ability to use my chemical engineering and simulation background and skills."

"Consider using a quality compatible control system like ALC controls, forget about electric reheat, consider DDVAV HVAC."
