What do you like about working at El Camino College?

"Staff/Faculty parking was usually found easily enough and not too far from the building."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"In the Comm. Studies department, it is important to be extremely self-organized because the system itself is not, so while interviewing, show how good you are at organizing yourself and show a knowledge of having worked with minorities."

What don't you like about working at El Camino College?

"In the communication studies department there is far too much pressure on the junior faculty and a sense of lack of control of one's own authority as a faculty member. The dean often makes junior faculty and office staff feel like her minions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be less demanding of faculty for all sorts of busy work and allow them to focus on their jobs."

"Very fulfilling. I was a part time teacher, which was a growing experience."

"Be open to your students, respect the staff as they are very experienced and knowledgable, have fun with the experience. Tell your interviewer that's what your opinion is."

"I liked everything about it. They were very helpfull and supportive."

"They were always very accomodating, so I don't have any suggestions."
