"Poor staffing ended up running the business for two weeks right after my manager trained me and quit and never came back. Another manager was hired and my position was coming to an end. Asked if wanted to come back, respectfully decline"
"The place has potential in some areas. Lots of changes in upper management based on profits."
"Unrealistic expectations and no proper training."
"I worked there for 12 years and would still be there except for the fact the job was eliminated. A lot of travel which I loved."
"I have been employed with the company for 17 years and used to enjoy my job working with my customers and getting them to ownership of merchandise they either needed or wanted to own . In the last couple of years our business model doesnt work . To answer that call we have increased store hours and reduced staff . the company has taken a total disregard to their employees families not caring whether we have time with them or not in search of an increase to their bottom line ."
"Very good customer service! The staff was very knowledgeable, answered every question and let's not forget they have a lot of different payment plans that will fit in everyone's budget."
"I worked there for roughly 2 and 1/2 years. I found that there is very little micro managing and they focus on customer retention."
"The company used to be great but in the last 3 or 4 years it has changed. The company refused to allow me my vacation time because profit had decreased at my location, but allowed other GMs in the region to have excessive days off. I left having 27 days of vacation, sick, and personal days. The regional manager rarely helped at my location but spent his time at a location that was doing well because it was close to his home. My personal life was brought into several conversations and discussed with my staff by the regional manager. Taking days off was rarely an option and if I did get one off I was usually called in by upper management. I was asked to reschedule medical appointments. It was not worth the 50,000. I was working 70 hours a week making roughly 14.50 an hour with no overtime. I was with company 7 plus years. The last 3 were horrible. If you want to have any quality of life outside of work do not work at Aarons."
"It's fair job but they could do a little better on compensation for as much as the Product Techs do. We lift and deliver every day for most of the day and should be payed a little better I feel. We also deal with the customers and explain the contracts for their lease in a way we are basically a supervisor on the road in a sense."
"Grossly underpaid and overworked. Management gets paid the same as everyone else, except GM's. Promotions are based on friendships, not qualifications."
"I have worked with Aarons for some time now; they are a fast growing company that have met their goals each year. Aarons is a good place to start because it consists of a lot of different applications and tasks designed for you to assist others and teach yourself. Aarons is a great company that is working on deployment of many great things that will continue great business for customers as well as associates. The opportunities at Aarons are one of a kind."
"I've worked with the Aaron's NSC for a year a half and I love what I do. However, I feel like I give my all to the company and I don't get what I truly deserve. The work ethic is not what I expected when I started."
"Aaron's is a great company that offers it's associates great benefits . The pay is competitive for working in a retails sales field but they do offer bonuses and commission for performance. Over all good company."
