Break the management by fear and intimidation habit. Reach out and communicate to employees (at least direct reports) on a personal level. Put an end to the blame-storming sessions and make an effort to truly understand why the problem occurred and how to fix it going forward. Also, stop back-stabbing people in meetings when there are people they work with or vendors in the meeting!
2.4I would be honest with the employees. I would not tell employees they were the most important concern I had and then act suprised when I found out over 100+ Employess laid off. I would stand up to the EVP's if any were violating the sexual harrassment policies I would fire them. If any were creating an unconfortable work enviorment I would correct the problem.
2.6I've worked as a teller here at Zions Bank for quite a while, and have come to know several tellers, FSRs and CSMs quite well, and I have seen that Zions treats the majority of their 'lower down' employees like simple numbers, to be subtracted and added from their workforce at will. They give no second thought to terminating an honest, faithful employee after they've made one or two simple mistakes. Plus, their software in their computers is from the 90's. enough said, it doesn't work.
