"Lots of great people at the plants but corporate greed out of control."

What do you like about working at United States Gypsum?

"Good amount of paid time off. Decent benefits. Hours at plant locations good."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It is way easier to get a salaried position than it is to get hired on as hourly. Another mystery. The hourly process takes weeks and has many hoops. We hired salaried people after one phone interview and one 2-3 hour total in person procees."

What don't you like about working at United States Gypsum?

"They care more about profits than employees. Recently eliminated all accounting jobs at plants. Sent many american jobs to unqualified company in India at the expense of quality performance. No loyalty to high performing long term employees. Poor, slow, communication of extremely important information affecting employee's lives. Corporate culture has turned to one of fear and suspicion. Pefect example of greedy, uncaring American capitalism at it's best. Working hard and doing your best are not rewarded. Pay is mediocre at best. Decisions are handed down from corporate, who has no idea what is happenning at the plants and how hard many people are working. Corporate spends money like water and plant offices are in ruins and on strict budgets."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"You sold out to greed and sold out your loyal employees. Maybe cut outrageous corporate spending before sending critical jobs to underqualified low paid people in other counties who are making massive errors completely screwing up the accounting system and angering vendors. You shot yourself in the foot and ruined many lives. Good job! Good luck sleeping at night."
